The USC Viterbi School of Engineering boasts an excellent faculty of growing strength. Thirty of its 165 members, many of whom were widely sought by top universities, joined USC in the last three years.
The faculty includes 30 members of the National Academy of Engineering, numerous winners of National Science Foundation Presidential and Career Awards, and the 2003 winner of the Turing Prize, often described as the "Nobel Prize in computing." More than a third of the faculty have been elected fellows of their respective professional societies.
