USC and Tsinghua University (THU) Program


USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the School of Information Science and Technology of Tsinghua University (THU), Beijing, China, have established a partnership for a broad spectrum of educational and research collaborations.

The program's key objectives are to provide students and faculty from both entities with international experiential learning opportunities and to strenghten education and scientific interaction between students and faculty.

The partnership provides student exchange opportunities, joint educational and research programs in targeted areas, as well as faculty exchanges.

  • No. of scholarships: 24 (12 for each school)
  • Qualifying applicants: outstanding undergraduate engineering students that will enroll in their senior year in Fall 2008
  • Duration: July 7 - Aug. 10, 2008 (aprox. dates)
  • Stipend: $2,500 toward living expenses (for the entire program); airfare & visa fees: up to $1,500
