GETTING STARTED AS A MASTER'S STUDENT AT USC:
     FALL 2008 ORIENTATION SESSIONS
  • Mandatory USC International Student Orientation  [back to top]
All new and transfer international students must attend the orientation session hosted by the USC Office of International Services, or they will be unable to register for their classes. This session will cover important information related to academics, immigration regulations, life in the United States and at USC. The sessions will also include practical and social activities to help students become more comfortable with U.S. culture and lifestyle. The Fall 2008 session will be held August 18th through 21st.  To register please click here:  International Student Orientation
  • USC Graduate Student Orientation [back to top]
We encourage all graduate students entering in the fall semester to attend the USC Graduate Student Orientation. This will provide you with information about campus services, university life and resources available to you. This session will be held on Monday, August 18th.  To register please click here:  USC Graduate Student Orientation
  • Viterbi Engineering Master's Student Orientation  [back to top]
All incoming Master's students, whether they are planning to pursue on- or off-campus programs of study, are encouraged to attend the Viterbi School graduate orientation.  The orientation will allow students to learn about their degree programs, registration procedures, university policies, resources, and student life.  It will also be a chance for new students to network with faculty, department staff and their fellow classmates at the Viterbi School of Engineering. REGISTRATION CLOSED
  • Department Orientation
During New Student Graduate Orientation advisors will be available on Tuesday the 19th of August from 10:30-2:00pm  for any questions they may have regarding advising.

>> ORIENTATION FOR ONLINE (DEN) STUDENTS [back to top]

  • Online Orientation for Distance Education Network (DEN) Students [back to top]
DEN students who will be unable to attend our on-campus orientation should view the orientation online. The online session will provide the same information covered in the on-campus orientation, and will be a great forum to ask questions about registration, degree progress, academic support, and student services. The online orientation session will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 1:00. Click Here for more information and to register. Afterwards, students who were unable to participate in the live on-line session will be able to access the archived version from the DEN homepage.
